4 down and 3 to go. Really getting into the groove of finishing this mini project. Just got Dr Crusher, Troi, and Data to get finished. And it's a real shame that I've finished watching all the Star Treks. I watched the last 2 Next Gen movies last weekend while I was working on Worf. So now I feel like I'm still drawing without the constant inspiration of the show in the background. Anyway... On the home stretch now. Hope you continue to enjoy my ballpoint pen artwork. I promise I will be doing some different things after this run of portraits.

A Matter Of Honor...

3rd drawing in my Star Trek: The Next Generation series. and one of my favourite characters. Mr Worf fast developed into one of the best characters in Star Trek. And is the most featured cast member. Crossing over from The Next Generation to Deep Space Nine.

So that's 3 down. 4 to go. And I'm well on my way with the rest.

Number One...

So here we are with another Star Trek: The Next Generation piece. First Officer Will Riker. Again it's ballpoint pen on illustration board. I'm really enjoying these pieces. And can't wait to have them all done so I can see the set for myself. Not much else to add really. I'm already working away on drawing 3 and 4 in this series. So best get back to them.

Make It So...

So I took a little break from blogging. Been pottering around with a few things and making some plans. But I'm back now!

Over the past few months I've been on a bit of a Star Trek marathon. Which today ended with me watching the season finale for Star Trek: The Next Generation. So it's only fitting that I finally finished one of the drawings I've been working on this past 2 weeks. And here it is. Patrick Stewart as Captain of the Enterprise, Jean Luc Picard. Superman...

A few weeks ago I shared the pencils for this drawing. I've since added ballpoint pens of every colour! Well black, red, blue and a touch of yellow! I will put my hands up now and admit this was a tough one to get right. Superman is hard to draw. Especially compared to Batman. You can't hide in the dark bits! Anyway... Was planning on putting this up in the morning. As it's my birthday. But thought I'd sneak it up the night before. So I can put my feet up all day tomorrow. Can't wait to have another crack at the Man of Steel! When I'm a year older and wiser!

With the recent start of production on the long overdue new movie, Skyfall, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to have a first crack at Daniel Craig as 007. I'm such a huge Bond fan. And Craig is doing a brilliant job at the moment. So here's my attempt at capturing the famous MI6 agent! Ballpoint pen on bristol board.

I Don't Know, I'm Making This Up As I Go...

Welcome to 2012! It's going to be a big year! And here I am getting off on the right foot. I've started a brand new A4 Moleskine. Which I plan on working in all year. And seeing where it goes. I've used Moleskines forever.  But I'm terrible at sticking with any one book. Really terrible! But one of my resolutions this year is to do things different in 2012. And this is my first drawing. Like another Moleskine I started last year I like warming up with an Indy. Feel like it's a good luck charm for me. And a fun character to get into the groove with.

As well as working in this book and sharing my journey through the year on here. I am going to begin a second project. And that's where all my energies will be focussed. In this book and on a seperate drawing project I've always wanted to do. Something big. Something I've always dreamed of!

So here's to 2012. And here's to getting everything we all hope for.

Coming in 2012

I'm signing off a little early this year. And won't be posting anything new until 2012! I just wanted to thank everyone that's supported me this year. All the lovely comments. They're very much appreciated. And everyone who's encouraged me as I've shared some great work. And some a bit more average! I've been so touched by the support I've received on here, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. And I hope my small fanbase grows even more next year! So Merry Christmas all. Hope you have a lovely time with friends and family. And a Happy New Year.

And here's a tease of what will be a much bigger drawing when I'm done. I've even dated it 2012 as I won't be finishing it this year. And I've shared my initial pencils before I went nuts with the ballpoint pen. This is something I want to do more often. As some of the pencil work can be quite interesting. I hope you like. And I hope you all come back after the festive period.

Something Sweet...

With the end of the year fast approaching I really feel like I'm now just finishing things up. Maybe it's because I have 2 big plans already in place for 2012 that I've already started pottering about with.
